I never truly realized
How wondrous it would be
When through the child I love so much
God gave a grandchild to me.
Every precious sigh and stretch
Overwhelms my heart
And with each tiny breath I feel
A new generation start.
The joy of kissing that angel’s face
Is a feeling like no other
Thank you with all my heart
For making me a grandmother.
