Andrew went home with Nana and Papa after his birthday party and had some one on one time. Allison joined Mike and I for an eagle watching trip. We left Monday morning and stopped in Keokuk, Iowa and were able to walk directly under a male and female eagle, just sitting in the tree. We went over to the dam and saw a bunch more. We crossed the river and looked around on the Illionis side. From there, we went back into Iowa and were off to our destination...Burlington. We found the dam and OH MY GOODNESS...there were HUNDREDS of eagles, mature and juvenile. I was never able to appreciate their beauty or enjoy listening to the sounds they make before. Allison did VERY well and would bundle up and join us. When she got too cool, the DVD player kept her attention. On Tuesday, we went by Canton, Quincy, Saverton, and Clarksville Dams. The eagles were awesome. We ended the day with a yummy dinner at Papa and Nana's.
