Darlene Olson, 76
Darlene J. Olson, a resident of Motley, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at the Lakewood Health System in Staples.
Darlene was born March 11, 1936, in Lamberton, to Leopold and Della Bittner. She attended school at Lamberton through 12th grade. was employed in retail, she worked in various department and variety stores. She also worked in broadcasting for radio stations most notably at stations in Hutchinson, and Cloquet. Her most recent job was at Walmart in Little Falls as a greeter for several years.
Darlene is survived by brother, Leo “Odd” or “Yacob” Bittner and special friend Shirley French, of Bixby, Okla.; daughters, Darcy Young and significant other, Nick Kirby of Ormsby, Terry Schraut of Motley, Sherry (Mel) Odom, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Vicky (Dean) Gustafson of Buffalo, Randi (Bill) Agens of Pine River and Sandy Olson of Little Falls; sons, Vern Olson of Motley and Val (Mary) Olson of Randall. She will also be dearly missed by her 32 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Darlene was preceded into glory by her parents, Leopold and Della Bittner; infant daughter, Kandi Fae; grandson, Kyle Anderson; and great-grandson, Brady Jensen.
