Silverseekers class Christmas fellowship Sunday evening, December 21, immediately following the service at the Donaldson's home in Spring Lakes division.  Please plan to bring a drink and some finger food of your choice.  The whole family is invited! 
Christmas Eve candlelight communion service December 24.

 Men's Basketball branches out
Thursday, December 11, Westside Men's basketball team played its first game as part of the area church Rec league against Dayspring and won!   The remainder of this season's games will be held at Trinity on the Hill United Methodist church and are scheduled as follows:
1/6/09    8:45  vs. Trinity on the Hill
1/12/09  7:30  vs. True North 
1/23/09  7:30  vs. Friendship Methodist

 Prayer Requests
The current state of our country and the new administration
Pray that Satan and his pawns in Hollywood and the media will be defeated in their ongoing efforts to normalize sin.
Pray for the lives and ministries of Westside families.
Class members traveling during the holidays
Seasonal viruses affecting class members and families.  Pray for healing and strength.
Duane Ott for grace and strength as he prepares to return to the mission field in the new year.
Ashley Griffin requests prayer for patient whose husband, in Iraq, is requesting a divorce.
Judy Oakman  for continued wisdom regarding treatment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.  Also, remember Judy's sister and brother-in-law as he is deployed to Iraq.
Jamie Oakman's friend Paul Smith whose mother passed away recently following a stroke.
Dale Hartenburg requests prayer for wisdom regarding doctoral program
Debbie Neivel as she continues to recover from surgery, and for her family in the recent loss of her brother.  The funeral is scheduled for Saturday.
Brandy Gates' friend Marie stationed in Korea who is struggling spiritually following a recent physical attack she endured at the hands of fellow soldiers.
Pray for Roger Erb and his family following the loss of his grandmother.  Pray for Yvonne's friend Jan who is struggling spiritually.
Continue to pray for Kim Barnard's family still dealing with issues related to the death of Kim's brother this past year.  Especially keep his daughters, Kim's nieces, ages 16 and 18 in prayer.  The eldest has started college this fall and is struggling with unresolved issues while trying to adapt to new experiences.
Danielle Schlieffer's grandmother has had cancer return.  Pray also for grandfather's kidney function.  Her brother requests prayer for fellow student who has had to withdraw due to rare form of cancer.
William Schlieffer continues interviews for residency. Headed to Mayo in MN this week.
Pray for Marissa at BJ and all our new college freshmen during this transition time.
Steve Burris and Vogtle personnel dealing with reactor problems.
Missionary Bruce Allen in Africa with debilitating genetic condition affecting pancreas and kidneys.  He's struggling with his will to live.  Pray for encouragement and strength.
Teresa Donaldson's co-worker whose 83 year old mother was raped by an intruder
Pray for Greg Donaldson's co-worker Patterson Fusselier and his wife who experienced the loss of a newborn.  Also, remember Greg's continued struggles with his ankle.
Also, remember daughter, Camille, as she remains in Augusta this next semester to consider schooling options.  Pray for wisdom and direction.
Sharon Long's co-worker who experienced a stroke; and, her dad, who is suffering through topical chemo to treat lesions on his head.
Tracie's cousin Robin in the loss of her son
John O'Donnell's brother and sister-in-law, Nate and Beth.  Newly married, they are now dual military.  Pray for God's provision and protection during these transitions.  John also requests prayer for the spiritual needs of Tommy, a neighbor back in Michigan.
Cary Howe's back and physical therapy.  Another round of pain injections this week.
Jeremy Eickholdt for continued healing from surgery for torn ACL.  Remember his Aunt Debbie undergoing surgery to remove benign tumors.
Trina Schmidt requests prayer for Crossroads Baptist Church's spiritual leadership, and for a family member who has strayed from the Lord
Jean Herchenhahn, pastor's wife in NC who is now in remission from brain cancer, requests prayer for continued good health to accompany her husband on the mission field to Guam for 6 month furlough replacement ministry.
Jeff and Amanda Bohler's marriage reconcilliation.

Tracy Walsh, Raven's friend.  Pray for continued healing after breast cancer surgery.

Mr. McKie, Raven's dad, is recovering from procedure to remove cancerous growth near his tear duct and is awaiting results from analyses to determine the need for further treatment.
