February's adventures included a rare treat of a snow day, which slowed the pace down a bit after a very busy January.
In January, we saw some snow in the Smokies and some Carribbean waters in Mexico, started school again in earnest, won a heart-pounding basketball game in double-overtime, fought off some colds, added some flooring in the attic, visited one of our foreign missionaries on his field, and saw "Johnny and Roy" in person (well, not REALLY, but please tell me you've seen at least ONE episode of "EMERGENCY!" from the 60's/70's) complete with fire trucks and ambulance at our front door.
What a whirlwind month!
Several of our friends have had turbulent starts to 2010, with serious illness and even unexpected loss of loved ones.
Storms do tempt us to fear, to worry, to despair, and sometimes even leave us shaken to the core. Christ is still Lord over the storm. His "hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear." (Isaiah 59:1)
Praying you have that peace in the midst of your storms this year and can praise the Lord for His excellent greatness every day of 2010! |
