As a little girl, born in Bremond, I remember spending time at Aunt Christine and Uncle Frank's farm, playing and having a great time. The meal was always wonderful. Aunt Christine was a great cook and each reunion I looked forward to her turkey and dressing.
I'll always remember Aunt Christine's friendly and welcoming smile. She loved her children and grandchildren so much and they were the topic of every conversation. I visited with her before our reunion last July at Cathy's. She was enjoying a couple of her grandchildren. She looked at the Reunion Photo Album from previous years and we had a very nice time reminiscing about previous reunions and the family.
We always looked forward to her visits at Aunt Willie's when we came to Bremond. She would come over and conversation in Polish would begin. I would understand almost every word of it but had to reply in English as my Polish is rusty. When I started school I could not speak a word of English but I learned quickly and then slowly lost the Polish I knew. I wished I had retained the Polish so I could speak it fluently now with relatives and friends who still speak it. Members of the Polish Genealogicl Society speak it and I try to chime in when I can.
My brothers and sisters and I will always remember our beautiful and sweet Aunt Christine. We have many memories to cherish. Our condolences to her three lovely children, Raymond, Al and Cathy and all her grandchildren whom she adored.
