I will issue the 2008 Reunion Notice in the next week. It will be mailed and put on this website as well. The 2008 reunion will be held in Bremond, Texas on Saturday, July 26th, starting with Mass at 11:00 at St. Mary's and pot luck luncheon following at the recreation center next door. I have a suggestion for the 2008 Reunion - I would like to ask one member out of each family to write a summary about their family giving us information on what occurred in their family since the last reunion. It could be one or two pages in length. They can bring it along with 20-25 copies to the reunion. We could set it out on the table and have anyone interested pick one up. I get information from each family but not enough so this would be interesting and keep us abreast of how our family is growing and progressing.

Who is Kenneth Allen Snider? Says his father was William Snider - well my dad's name was William Marion Snider but he never lived in Alabama/MS so Kenneth, your great grandfather must be of another Snider branch. Who was your father and mother? Mine were Willima Marion (Bill) and Rosie Helen Sopchak Snider. Dad was from Bremond and mom was from Rosenberg; I was born in Bremond.

The Survey was a good idea. Maybe more of the relatives in their 20's thru 40's will get involved. Ideas, suggestions and opinions are welcomed. The runion is a way of keeping in touch with relatives that we don't take time to visit during the year. Hopefully the youthful will become interested in learning about their heritage and culture and keep the reunion flowing. Happy 2008 - Reunion in 2008 will be the last Saturday in July. Hope to see you there and Mandy will report on the Survey.

Hi , was just sitting her on pc and searched my name and came up with your home page. I think you folks have a wonderful way of keeping family. I don't know much about my family except that my Great Grandfather : William Snider , ran off and left his family of wife and three children in northwest Alabama and headed west and was never heard from again. He left my grandfather: Bloomer Carlton Snider: to be raised by one of my great grandmothers brothers: Lee Stults of Haleyvile , AL. and his two sisters were sent to Michigan to be raised by another Aunt.
In later years my Grandmother:Hattie Penola (Stults)Snider said that William Snider was found to have had two different wifes and families in Al.
I live in MS now and found a family that the great grandfather wss named William Snider and had came here from AL. He started a family and then left them and headed west.
