The Snider Family Reunion Officers are beginning to meet to plan for the 2008 Snider Family Reunion. We are very excited about what is about to vast array of possibilities.. We would like to try a few different things for this reunion. We have been brainstorming about ways to help revitalize the attendance of the reunion and help to meet more of our family members and continue to build the tradition that has already begun. In 2008, we will have the 24th reunion for the Snider Family that began in the 1980’s by founder, Dan Kubiak. Upon conducting some research, we have found that our reunion has a wonderful structure and foundation that many families wish they could use for successful reunion and it would be a shame for us to lose what has already been built. In 2006 we had only about 65 attend the reunion which is about 1/3 of the family. We realize that everyone is busy and has summer commitments, but we think that if we start early and plan and mark it on your calendars, we can have a record attendance. We also want to introduce new ideas and events that will be of interest to all ages. Each of us has unique gifts and talents and many of you have great ideas from other family reunions that would be a great asset to our reunion. We need your ideas for location, food, activities, etc and all opinions are welcome and will assist in evaluating and improving our reunion for future generations.
Those of you who attended the 2006 Reunion may have filled out a survey. Of the 65 in attendance, the seventeen surveys that were completed gave some very insightful suggestions. We have gathered those responses and based on your remarkable feedback realize that this was very valuable and that we need participation from the entire family. We are revamping the survey and ask every family member to fill the NEW Survey out either online or manually. If you are unable to fill out the survey, please have someone fill it out for you with your correct information or feel free to make copies of the hard copy and we can input your information for you. As you may know, we now have a family website which can be accessed at http://familylobby.com/snider. The link to the survey will be on this website at the top of the page next to “Links” OR you can complete the hard copy survey enclosed and mail it to Mandy Schaefer (address provided on the survey). Those of you who already have access to the website may receive this message twice and only need to complete the survey once. If you wish to have access to the family website, please click on the email link on the webpage. We ask you to talk with your family over the holidays and brainstorm and complete the survey by March 1, 2008. Your honesty and opinion are very valuable and your answers will be kept confidential. While filling out this survey is voluntary, we must emphasize how important and vital it is for the future of OUR Family Reunion.
