I live in Kansas by the way and have been working on the Geneaolgy for a few years now.. At one point in the tree you go one way and I go another but leads to the same ancestry. Talk to you soon.. TAYLOR FAMILY: (My direct lines)

The Taylor family has been rather difficult for me to trace over the last 14 years. Seeing how there is really nobody left from my direct lines that know anything about the family. Almost all the older ones have since passed on. But, a few are still living and are as much at a loss as I was. At any rate I can go back from my son 8 generations for sure. In recent weeks I have found information from another unknown researcher on Ancestry.com that has my line going back beyond my 8 generations to 6 more generations. At this time I can't confirm or deny this other person's perspective that my lines descend from the earlier 6 generations. I'm working to confirm that indeed my lines do come down as this person has stated. But, at this time I will have to say I really don't know for myself. Below I will post how I know who I have researched and can confirm are my direct ancestors from my son back 8 generations. After that I will post how this other researcher claims the lines go back beyond the 8th generation that I have.  If anyone can confirm or deny the earlier ones this other research has please let me know.

My own research starts at William Henry Harrison Taylor (Sr.) and his wife Elizabeth Rhoda (McCallister or McCollister). Just a little FYI for you. Since William Henry Harrison Taylor (Sr) has 2 other descendants that bear his entire name I have added Sr., Jr, III. to their names for my own sanity to keep them straight which generation I was working on. Now weather or not they originally had Sr, Jr, and the III. attached to their given names I cannot tell you. This was just my way of not getting the generations mixed up. They also used the various ways to write their names such as it full written out as above or William H.H. Taylor and they all three appear to of did both. The William H.H. III. also went by "Will".  Also Elizabeth Rhoda I originally had her maiden name as McCallister but in recent weeks have come to believe it was actually McCollister. Another point I would like to make you aware of on William Henry Harrison Taylor (Sr) is that in various census I have found him in his birth place has been listed as the following places according to the various census one says Erie Pa. another says NY another says Mass and another one says Connectict. All the census are of him cause his wife and kids are in them so I really don't know for sure which of these places was where he was born but I'm kinda leaning to Erie Pa. With that said here is the lines I have researched and know are my direct lines.

  1. William Henry Harrison Taylor (Sr) born 1819 in Erie Pa. ? (see above) died 1870 in Portsmouth Scioto County Ohio. He married in 1841 in Ross Co. Ohio to Elizabeth Rhoda (McCallister or McCollister). 1825-1902. They had 12 children.
  5. Raymond Junior Taylor (note his middle name is actually "Junior" born 1926 and died 1993 on his 67th birthday (July 14th). He was born in Muncie and died in Winter Park Florida. He married in Muncie in 1946 to Wilma Mae (Resler) born 1929 she is still living. They were divorced. They were the parents to 3 children.
  6. Pamela Sue (Taylor) born 1947 in Muncie my mom is still living she married in 1965 to my dad James Hall Johnson Sr. born 1946 in Burkesville, Cumberland Co. Ky. died 1972 at age 26 in Muncie, Delaware County Indiana. I'm the oldest of 2 children born to them.
  7. Donata Sue (Johnson) born 1966 in Muncie married in 1990 to David LeRoy Boyle Jr. born 1965 we have one child.
  8. David LeRoy Boyle III. born 1993 (our son).

The above 8 generations I can prove and have done the research on them the following I cannot confirm the first 6 generations these following first generations are from the other unknown researcher and I have not actually researched them to confirm or deny the person's work. But, if it is correct then I would descend like so;

  1. Richard Taylor 1620-1673 wife Ruth (Burgess) bef 1630-1693 had 11 kids
  2. Richard Taylor 1652 - 1732 wife Hannah (Unknown) abt. 1649 - 1733 had 7 kids
  3. Jasher Taylor 1685 - 1759 wife Experience Cobb (Taylor) 1692-1764 had 10 kids
  4. Jonathan Taylor Sr. 1725-1794 wife Thankful (Phinney) abt. 1731-1818 had 10 kids
  5. Jonathan Taylor Jr. 1757-1839 wife Phebe (Howes) 1758  had 7 kids
  6. Jonathan Taylor III. 1797-1818 wife Rebecca (Ellis) 1799-1818 had 5 kids
  7. William Henry Harrison Taylor (Sr) 1819 - 1870 wife Elizabeth Rhoda (McCollister) had 12 kids

(This is where the other researcher's information stopped coming to my line. If the above is right then it would continue on with the following).

  • 8.   William Henry Harrison Taylor (Jr) 1846-1928 wife Josephine (Swope) had 4 kids
  • 9.   William Henry Harrison "Will" Taylor (III) 1871-1848 wife Louise or Louisa Ann "Lou" (Cooper) had 5 kids
  • 10.  Raymond Augusta Taylor 1902 - 1981 wife Bernice H. (Howe) they had 6 kids
  • 11.  Raymond Junior "Bud" Taylor 1926-1996 wife Wilma Mae (Resler) they had 3 kids
  • 12.  Pamela Sue (Taylor) 1947-living husband James Hall Johnson Sr. has 2 kids
  • 13.  Donata Sue (Johnson) 1966 husband David LeRoy Boyle Jr have 1 child
  • 14.  David LeRoy "Davey" Boyle III. 1993

I have more dates etc on these lines just e-mail if you think you connect and want more information on the families.

I also have 29 tin type pictures posted here on the website that are of Unknown people. Before my great grandmother Bernice H. (Howe) Taylor died in 1996 she gave them to me she told me she could not remember if they were from her parents families (Howe & Smith's) or if they were from her (Bernice's) husband Raymond Augusta Taylor's parents families (Taylor & Cooper's). If you think that you can identify any of th 29 tin types please e-mail. Or if you have old photos of your own families and think they could help with caparing let me know. Thanks.
