I am Just starting to build this web site. I hope to soon have our geneology on here. I hope to create a place where we can all keep up with events like reunions, births ,deaths and marriages ect......So email me anything you want and add anything you want in the dicussions, news and journal areas. Open a new gallery and add your photos or copy the ones that are here. I look forward to hearing from you.... Barry Uptain
I have placed a downloadable gedcom file in the file Section located at the top of the home page. This can be opened with most any genealogy software. If you don't have geneology software My Heritage family tree builder can be downloaded free on line. This file includes All of my 23 years of geneology research.
Apr 1 2009 I have placed another file in the File section. It is the life story of George Uptain.
He is our ancester who first spelled his name UPTAIN and not UPTON. You can download and open it with word.

| | Dr. Michael W. Harris - Jan 3, 2012 | I have really enjoyed this site and appreciate the information someone has worked so hard to compile. I am the grandson of James Russell and Donnie Bell Emerson. My mother is Earline Emerson Harris.I am really glad to hear from some of you. Jesse I saw as a baby and then not until I worked for the University of North Alabama and she walked in to observe me as part of her studies. I began talking to her and felt as though I knew her. I asked who her parents were and found they were Uncle Garvin and Aunt Eunice, whom I visited when we were in the south for vacation. Of the 18 children belonging to James Russ and Donnie Bell, my mother, Earline, and my uncle Clovis are all that remain. They are in their 80's. I have my grandfather's love for horses. As some of you know, James Russ was the last postman to deliver mail by horseback. My email is; mcashaker2@bellsouth.net
