Help for students with Learning Differences
Angie Smith graciously arranged for Roberta Terry to visit Co-op on February 8, to give insight and encouragement regarding students with learning differences.  Roberta offers a very reasonably priced testing and evaluation service to identify your child's learning style and to prescribe methods of strengthening weaknesses, and is available for personal tutoring.  Angie can give a first-hand testimonial of her experience with Roberta's services and would be happy to give you further information.
Currently, Roberta's business, Reading Success and Much More, operates from her home.

 Your member information...
Any time your contact information changes during the co-op year (e-mail addresses, particularly), please take time to update your profile in the member area.  That one little update will help us SO much.  Thanks!
 Help with Learning Challenges
Bookshare is a free service to US children through college age whereby books are converted to electronic copy on your home computer to help students with learning disabilities improve word decoding and reading comprehension.  Your physician or qualified evaluator must verify the presence of "a print disability" on an application you would submit before you could be enrolled in the program and given the necessary equipment/software.  You can check into this service at www.bookshare.org.
 Website updates
I've added spouses to the member directory so you can now connect that detail in your profiles and add your anniversary dates!  PLEASE don't try to update your spouse's profile, however.  I'm listing them as members, but not including their e-mail addresses so they won't get unwanted e-mail updates that only you'll want to receive.
 We LOVE pictures around here!
If you take pictures of Co-op activities this year or special events that your kids participate in during the year, we'd love for you to share them with us!  Many of our Co-op students love to log on to remember some good times together and to see what their friends are doing outside of Co-op.  You're able to upload photos by creating a new photo gallery, naming it, and loading your pictures.  If an album is already established online of an event or activity and you have pictures to add, please do!

 "Instructables" from Carol Oswald
This is a SUPER website to inspire you and your kids to be creative, reuse items to save money, be self sufficient and self-reliant, make your own musical instruments, plant a garden, make your OWN stuffed animals, etc.
Also, see my blog for my own creative attempts from ideas on instructables.   www.blessedonthenet.blogspot.com  There are two projects on the blog the skirt and the stuffed animals.  No, there are not stains on that skirt, it is bad lighting.

 Please pray!

Prayer Warriors:
On June 26th, Parks and Indy Schaffer, Bill and Debbie Turner’s grand twins, were born at 24 ½ weeks, weighing less than a pound and a half each.  After a valiant battle, Parks passed away, 5 days later, in Jenny’s arms surrounded by those who loved him.
With many hurdles to overcome, Indy really needs your prayers so we’ve attached a flier for you to print and post to remind everybody how to specifically pray for her.  Please forward this to every believing soul you know.
Thank you for lifting up Indy, Jenny and Jamie to the Almighty, Sovereign God.
We love y’all!
Bill and Debbie Turner
