, to something else?You can do this by going to the [Member area] at the top-right of the web site and clicking Web site settings. If you want to change familylobby.com/wilsonfamily1 to something else, you need to create another site
Yes, the web site is completely free. There is no evaluation period or surprise charges. Although, if you are interested in the following, you will need to upgrade your site:
- More space for pictures and files
- If you want your own web domain. (e.g. www.CollierFamilies.com)
- View recent visitors and file access
- Personal e-mail addresses (e.g. me@CollierFamilies.com)
- Custom events and header links
- No advertisements
The requests come to you. In the member area, there is a submitted members and login request page with all the requests. You then add them to your site and specify an initial password and role for the member. You can also, click "Add member" in the member area to create a login for everyone. You can only add members if you are an administrator.
To give a member a login, their member details must contain an e-mail address and a password. Add a member by going to the members section and clicking "Add new member". You can also edit an existing member and set their e-mail address and password. You set their initial password. After they log in, they can change their password to something else (Recommended)
We get recommendations daily about new ideas. At this point, we are trying to implement almost all of them. So, expect to see new links added to the site every month with new features. Upgraded sites will have more new features.
Only members that are logged into the site can see e-mail addresses and mailing addresses. This protects you from SPAM programs that search for e-mails on sites. The information is always stored separate from other websites. This means that you will never have a chance of seeing other data from other sites on your site and vice versa. If you only want your site accessed by other members, you can require a login for the site by going to general settings in the Security section of the member area. That way no one can access your pictures or information.

Your website will never be added to a search engine. Only you can post your website to a search engine.
Daily checks are done by a third-party company to make sure our servers are not vulnerable to users that try to hack into the system.
Every time you go to a page on your website a check is done to make sure that all your sites information stays separate from other site's information.
A login is required to view a member's address and other personal information. To add more security, administrators have the option to require a login to view anything on the site.

Do not reveal personal information. Social security numbers, account information, etc...
Be aware of anything you post that may be too personal. If it appears on your homepage and a login is not required, anyone will be able to see it.
Don't put anything on the site you don't feel comfortable with. You don't have to enter personal information in the site to make it a fun place for your family!
Keep in mind that if you include your site as a signature in forums, it may be added to search engines depending on the forum site
We do not share any information including e-mail addresses, pictures, member information, and journal entries. If someone types in http://www.familylobby.com/wilsonfamily1 directly, then they will see your site. We do not make this path public. We do not have a directory listing on our homepage and we do not allow users to search for people that use FamilyLobby.com. We do not make the website available to the public in a directory listing. The site is for you and your members.
You can add videos to the "File downloads" section. After you upload the video, you can add it to news posts, what's new, etc... by clicking the
button and going to the
"File downloads" tab. You can also click "Add to homepage" in the "File Downloads" section to add the video to the homepage.

The homepage photo is what shows up on the homepage (the first page someone sees when they go to your site). You can change the homepage photo in the Homepage layout. The option must be enabled to see photos on the home page.
When you register as a family member, the information will be sent to the site administrator, renee. They will look it over so new family information can be added to the site.
You can set up events and links in the "Member Area". Click here for Events or here for Links. This is only available to administrators of the site. If you want to add your own links, you must upgrade your site.
A journal is a public or private blog of events that happen for a day or period of time. You can post a journal entry for other members to view. You can change the date and create private entries like an online diary!
To do this, you must have an e-mail address that can be accessed from Outlook Express® or other e-mail applications. If you have an e-mail account like this, you can set up the access the same way you did in your e-mail application. Simply go to Add/Edit Mailbox(POP3) account and type in your POP3 information. If you do not have one, you can buy e-mail addresses here. After you buy the e-mail addresses, you will be able to use them from anywhere. Not just our site.
The family tree is very specific. When you add new members, you must specify a relationship to another member. To set up a spouse/partner, one person must be the in-law.
To add birthdays or anniversaries of family members, go to the "Member area" and click "Add Member". Type a date of birth and anniversary date to show it on the calendar. If you want custom calendar entries and recurring entries, you have to upgrade your site.

Upload a music file in the File Downloads section that is an mp3, wav, or another common music file. Then, copy the link of the music file into the background music field in the Homepage Layout in the Member area.
The family tree shows all the members on the site in a family hierarchy. Each member that does not have parents and is not an in-law is shown as a new tree. To select another tree, choose another name from the dropdown. An "Edit tree" option will appear if the current member is an administrator.
